The Gardening and Ethnobotany in Academia Project (GAEA) was established in 2015, and is responsible for building and maintaining the Sam W. Hitt Medicinal Garden on campus. Our mission statement is: To unite students with the rich and dynamic realm of plants through teaching, learning, service, and community building, and by actively encouraging creativity, scholarship, fellowship, and leadership. We also want to encourage students and faculty to explore the intricate relationship between plants and people-medicinally, economically, and culturally at a local and global scale. Don't be frightened by the long name, GAEA is open to anyone, no matter how green your thumb is! ALL are welcome to come join our GAEA community!

Feel free to contact the GAEA President, Aryan Amin, or the officers about any inquiries that you may have regarding the club.
